Dörtnal Ranch is a family run business that  the German-Turkish family began operating in 2005,  first as a passion of the owners with the aim to combine touristic riding and horsemanship and ameliorate the image of Turkish touristic riding stables.

We put emphasis on the need of the rider and the horses – quickly we developped to a proper small riding school,giving lessons to beginners and advanced riders, organizing half- and fullday trail rides  and since 2007 we practise hippotherapy and therapeutic riding in the summer months in cooperation with a dolphintherapy.

Exploring a new country is exciting, but doing it on horseback is even more fun and adventurous. Believe it or not, horse riding is in fact a physically demanding activity; the rider must use their thigh muscles to keep their body weight light against the saddle, as well as keeping a good posture. So after your adventurous horse riding trip, you can relax back at your accommodation, rest your legs by lying on the bed and playing Partypoker, while you run a hot bath. If you are a first time rider, we recommend you have a few starter lessons. Here you will learn the basics of horse riding and some important steering and controlling techniques ?

Salih Kandemir has invested more than 30 years to equine work –as a jockey  till 1991, in the Turkish armed forces where he was although member of the national equestrian jumping team and in the section of the foal training till 2001.

Felis (Felizitas), his German wife moved to Turkey 15 years ago abandoning her profession as a physician. As an enthusiasic rider she helps her husband run the ranch, guides advanced riders on trail rides and  will be on hand to help organise your riding and vacation needs.

The other partners in this enterprise are the horses! Experienced, well-trained and very well looked after, they are matched to individual riders. Depending on experience you can free ride and go camping in the woods, or take a beginner’s course. There is a special introductory short course so you can just give it a try. For longer courses or holidays accommodation is limited on site, but they will help you to find something locally to suit your pocket
